Fiumanka is a fruit liqueur based on Istrian Teran wine, enriched with blueberry, cherry, cranberry, hazelnut and almond fruits, sweetened with chestnut honey. The sweet, complex, nutty flavors of Fiumanka were inspired by our grandmother – a true donna from Fiume, passionate, remarkably sharp-tongued woman, a homemaker (which is why the liqueur has a slightly biscuit-like taste), who fell in love with and was disappointed by Fiuman (our grandfather), drove him away after he crossed her pride… and never forgot.
On the Fiumanka label is our grandmother, and when you place the bottles of Fiumanka and Fiuman side by side, you’ll see that she has her back turned to him. Just like in life.
